wasting-timeMost of us go to work to earn a living

After watching a move “IN TIME” I came to realize that we are not to far removed from what the movie was trying to portray.

Each of us has the same amount of time and what we decide to do with it is really up to us. Unlike the move we cant trade it for more, but we comfortably trade it for less. It’d easy to hand over cash for that cup of coffee or buy that new car on hire purchase as our world system is designed for us to spend all we have.

What we tend to forget is that this money is something that we have traded our finite time for.

If only that car salesman mentioned the price something like “This car is worth 200 days of your life” – would you then reconsider your purchase?

A home loan is over 30 years and because we want what everyone else wants we sign up. Imagine how many days of your life you are giving up to own your home.

We made a decision not long back to look at all that we owned and planned a way to free us of the constraints of paying off our belongings. By quitting the credit controllers in our life and by downsizing in virtually everything that we own we have managed to be able to see our way clear to having the time that we were given to spend on travel and enjoying our lives.

By realising that everything you do is governed by time and not money we hope that the purchases that you make in the future will be governed by your mindful thoughts of reading this today.
