IF YOU’RE after a room with a view, the new JW Marriott Marquis Dubai won’t disappoint.
The luxury hotel opened for business today and, at 355m, the elevator ride itself will be an adventure.
It’s officially the world’s tallest hotel, as verified by the Guinness Book of World Records. It took the title from its neighbour, the 333m Rose Tower.
The city’s famous Burj Khalifa tower – the world’s tallest man-made structure – is much higher at 830m, but the JW Marriott Marquis is the tallest building dedicated entirely to a hotel.
