Taking a short flight with Air Asia from Phuket to Chaing Mai I normally wouldn’t worry about a meal as the flight is less than a couple of hour long.

But with Elena felling a little peckish we grabbed the food menu and settled for a chicken sandwich and juice while she scored the last of the wraps.
The prices were fair as budget airline food goes but when handed the soggy packaging and a bun that looked like it had survived several flights I was a little taken back. I’ve flown several times with this low cost carrier and it’s been fine.

I don’t mind having to pay extra, in fact I’m all for it. I totally get the concept of paying for what you want when on board and benefiting in the lower price of the flight. But you do have to draw the line at shoddy food service especially if you’re paying a premium for it

Without complaining I ate it, some would send it back but I thought what’s the point of that. I’ll only get another one in the same condition if this is the quality that Air Asia deems acceptable.

So after taking a photo of the shoddy sandwich I took the liberty of photographing the original as advertised option. There is no comparison.

Only thing to do now is enlighten our blog followers and forward the URL link to Air Asia as we still have many flights on this journey booked with them.

Food service in the sky should follow the same rules as on the ground, if you don’t like what your being served, send it back to the kitchen it came from.
