But without going into details I took my car to an airport parking facility only to return and find a dent. After a lengthy delay in investigation it was discovered that somehow the dent was on the car when I got there, I still have no ideas as to when or where the dent appeared.
But the whole ordeal (and the continued barrage of phone calls) has raised some concerns about what happens when you leave your vehicle at an airport parking facility.
When you drive in,your car is on video. Yet unlike hiring a car when you check over the car prior to departure, at the Airport Parking Facility you’re rushed through, papers are signed and keys are left. On the numerous occasions that we have used the various Airport Parking Facilities none have ever gone through the terms and conditions and explained that you park with them at your own risk.
After reading the terms and conditions of one of the Airport Parking Facilities I was surprised to find that should damage occur to my car whilst in their care they could just wipe their hands of it.
So I looked at the terms and conditions of various Airport Parking Facilities in Brisbane where we frequent and here’s what we found.
