The Gold Coast is one of Australia’s hot spots and lucky for us it’s our local playground being just 45 minutes from home.

The  Gold Coast is home to the largest number of Theme Parks in Australia and is also one of the fastest growing cities in the country. You can fly directly to the Gold Coast via Coolangatta International Airport on some flights or fly to Brisbane and take a transfer shuttle. Don’ try the Airport Train as there is no direct train (you will be transferred to a bus at Nerang).

Coolangatta plays host to a lot of the budget airlines that are springing up like mushrooms these days. You can fly in Air Asia, Scoot,  Qantas, VirginTiger into Coolangatta- check with your travel agent for others.

The entrance fees for the parks can be on the expensive side for the budget conscious traveler so try to get a package deal for several of the parks and save some of that hard earned travel dollars. A great place to buy your ticket on line (as we use frequently) is My-Fun.
