Aussie Bar Karon Beach

After returning home to the comfort of my hotel I rested and got organised for a night out with my newly made friends from Kenneys Aussie Bar

Riding over the hill in the dark takes some doing and with my loosely fitting helmet and reduced vision due to the tinted visor it took all my concentration. But I managed and was soon beer in hand and laughing with the boys. Kenny introduced me to all his staff (all Thai girls) that as soon as I was introduced I forgot all their names. I played a few rounds of 8 ball on the tables and we all sung along to the band coving as many songs as the could. The highlight was someone requesting Gangman Style – which was performed perfectly with all the girls dancing all the moves…. So funny.

The night progressed and so did I, one drink after another. At one point Kenny suggested that I get a room somewhere for the night rather than ride home.
After that the night became a little blurred. I was drunk and I knew there was no way I could ride home.
The best thing was to take a walk I thought… Clear my head a bit.

I dragged out of the bar and down the road toward the beach.
Finding a sunlounger I stretched out and just lay there with my head spinning, I’m drunk….omg so drunk.
Finally I must have past out.

The warmth of the morning sun soon was upon me, my head throbbed and with the taste of vomit still in my mouth I knew I must have had a big night. Rising and very slowly walking back to the bar which was now closed I found my motorbike. I was probably still way over the legal limit, but I didn’t care I just wanted to get home to be bed at the hotel.
Riding slowly and feeling every bump in the road I got in at 9.30am and crashed into bed.

Writing to Elena I said….

Babe I’m sorry but I stuffed up and drunk way too much got home this morning at 9.30am after sleeping off most of the affects of the alcohol. I was a good boy though. I didn’t ride home drunk, instead i just crashed on one of the sun loungers on the beach. Oh babe I have never been this hungover in ages and I’m not going to repeat it. Just want you here. Can’t cope without you. Left my jacket at the bar I’ve just discovered now…. Fuck…. That means I have to go back to the bar.

I thought there is no way I can ride back now, so I spent most of the day recovering in the room of my hotel.
It was late in the afternoon and I knew I just had to eat something and getting back on the bike I headed back to Karon Beach.

Kenny was worried as he was looking for me. He had organised a room and I vanished into the night, he knew I  must be around as he could still see the bike.
When I told him that I spent the night crashed on the beach he and all the staff roared with laughter as the beach is where all the lady boys hang out. Kenny translated the story to the Thai girls on the bar everyone was grabbing their bums and laughing.
I see the funny side and Kenny lines me up with another beer. Not again…. Just a couple tonight as I want to make it home safe.
