A place that conjures up the darkest winters, cold and forbidding, well yes and no. Go there in the summer and you will be greeted by dry hot days the give you 16 hours of daylight each day. Elena’s Home City of Chelyabinsk in the Southern Ural Mountains is on the edge of Siberia and has shown us both the severe winters and hot summers. With its vast array of untapped minerals and gasses it’s best go now before the excavators get here and rip the wilderness apart. The Urals is a magnificent place to raft rivers and swim in lakes.
Gone now are the crazy times of the 90’s and post Perestroika, this is the time to visit this wonderful country.
