Ode to the road
Let’s pick up your load

It’s time to travel and leave the gravel
Time to take flight and see new sights

Hear new sounds from all around
To make a new friend around the bend

To climb mountains and stand on Great Walls
I one day will return and tell of all

Raft rivers of Russia with family and friends
Who knows when my journey will end

With a loved one or on your own
Don’t ever let yourself moan
I wish I’d done that in a negative tone

You have one life so live it well
Of strange lands I wish to tell

To leave a footprint and take away smiles
This is why I travel for miles

Not for the t shirt they’re selling in markets
I rather have experience in my life basket

With worldly possessions tucked in a bag
No longer do I just dream and read the travel mag

Set yourself free from you own nine to five
Come live on the road and feel alive
