Three nights in Vanuatu have passed. This morning we have to hand back the Quad bike that has been so much fun to ride around this tropical paradise, but before we do we want to return to the container terminal and check out the Concordia Cruise ship that’s docking in Port Villa for the day.

The Concordia at Port Villa

The town has an electric vibe this morning as the passengers clear customs and sprawl out onto the dusty road and shanty makeshift stalls that line it. I wonder what thoughts these people will take from Vanuatu. They arrive for one day, walk to town and and return to the ship thinking that they have seen Vanuatu. They have not the time to explore the Island and discover the locals and the little places just tucked away around the bend.

We can identify with them and only wish that we had more time to explore this Island he some of the other 83 Island that make up the entire region.

Dropping the quad we were only too happy to take a stack of brochures and let the guys know how much we really enjoyed the freedom of travelling this way in Vanuatu. Walking back to town was not hard, walking away from the 3 days of absolute fun was difficult – I so want a Quad bike now!

On Wheels Vanuatu – Simply AWESOME!

We have fallen for this place, it was going to be just a quick 3 day holiday to relax and have fun. It’s turned us on our head with thoughts of property investment and wonders of what it would be like to live here. With Jack talking of development of the Vanuatu International Airport Terminal, once the 747’s arrive the place will change, the pace of the Island will never be the same… But to those who invest your paradise awaits.

If you want to experience the true nature of Vanuatu don’t do what we did, come and stay longer, you’ll need to experience more of what we did. If your looking at luxury resorts make sure you take the time to escape their front gates and mix with the locals, trust us… the natives are super friendly.
